Methane Emissions
Methane is another natural gas associated with Global Warming. It is emitted by livestock, wetlands/swamps and leakage from natural gas systems. Natural processes in soil and chemical reactions in the atmosphere help remove methane from the atmosphere and it’s lifetime in the atmosphere is much shorter than carbon dioxide. However, methane traps radiation more efficiently than CO2.
Carbon Dioxide Emissions
Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas and is the main pollutant that is warming Earth. Though living things emit carbon dioxide when they breathe, carbon dioxide is widely considered to be a pollutant when associated with cars, planes, power plants, and other human activities that involve the burning of fossil fuels such as gasoline and natural gas.
Exhaust Fumes
Vehicles produce fumes. These fumes are the combustion of refined crude oil, and are very dangerous to our environment when it comes to air pollution. Both carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide are products of this.
