Melting Polar Ice Caps
The warming of the earth and sea has caused the melting of the poles. The Ice caps will melt, increasing the water level and destroying animals natural land and habitat. Causing the rise of sea levels. Also, the ice caps reflect sunlight from the surface. It will only be a limited time before the Arctic melts entirely; exact dates of when this will happen are still yet to be predicted and confirmed. Polar ice caps have melted faster in the last 20 years than in the last 10,000
Rising Sea Level
Sea levels worldwide have been rising at a rate of 0.14 inches (3.5 millimetres) per year since the early 1990's. Oceans absorb 80% of the heat. The rising level of the sea will most definitely affect coastal regions, killing off plant life and making living conditions in that area impossible. As Sea water reaches further and further inland erosion, loss of land and flooding are some of the effects as well.
